Clif Shot gels use a blend of complex carbs from maltodextrin combined with simple sugars from organic dried cane syrup.

This blend of carbohydrates helps enhance overall carbohydrate absorption leading to better energy and endurance over long events and training sessions, along with 60mg of sodium from sea salt. The unique litter leash makes for easier opening when on the run, and means less trash when you’re out running on the trails. How do you eat CLIF SHOT Energy Gel?

Generally, performance athletes need to consume 200-400 calories per hour from all sources, such as gels, chews, bars and drinks. We recommend one packet 15 minutes prior to activity, followed 1-2 packets per hour during activity (depending upon caffeine level) to help support your needs.
